2024 felt like a rebirth after the personal challenges of 2023. It was a year of creative expansion, meaningful collaborations, and personal growth. I connected with many wonderful new and returning clients. Some brought long-held dreams of commissioning a project to life, while others went above and beyond—like the generous collectors who opened their home to us for showers and electricity after the hurricanes. To everyone who supported my work last year, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and patronage.
Here are some of the milestones that make 2024 unique to my journey as an artist:
Art Expansion
2024 was all about growth—literally and figuratively. I challenged myself to create my largest works to date, including a seven-foot canvas stretched over aluminum bars with the help of professional stretchers. It was exhilarating to push my creative boundaries and work on a surface this large.
Equally rewarding was placing more paintings in homes than ever before. Knowing my work is now part of so many spaces where life unfolds is an incredible feeling.
Mainsail Art Festival
This year marked my second acceptance into the esteemed Mainsail Art Festival, and it was a milestone event. My painting Night Falling Over St. Pete earned a ribbon, and I was honored to be invited as the poster artist for the 2025 50th Anniversary Mainsail Art Festival—a dream I didn’t expect to achieve so soon.
Feature and Column in St Pete Life Magazine
One of the year’s highlights was being featured in St. Pete Life Magazine, where I shared some of my favorite projects and commissions. This opportunity opened a new door for me as a contributor, and I began writing a bi-monthly column celebrating the creative professionals shaping our local interior design and architecture scene.
Collaborative Projects
2024 introduced me to incredible collaborators, and I’m in awe of the beautiful spaces I was able to help enhance. A heartfelt thank-you to Madelyn Kinemond Interiors and Julianne Hendrickson Interiors for selecting my paintings to elevate their stunning client spaces.
